JPMorgan CEO: Decent

Elon Musk, Twitter's largest shareholder, appears to be leaving

the board. The Twitter CEO also stated that he feels the decision was made in the best interests of the company.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has joined Twitter's board of directors, only days after becoming the company's largest shareholder. However, this does not appear to be the case anymore. In a subsequent post, Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal says that Musk has now rejected to join the company's board of directors.

The tweet also includes a brief comment, which does not explain why Musk is no longer joining the board. "Elon's appointment to the board was about to become formally effective 4/9, however, Elon announced that same morning that he will no longer be joining the board," Agrawal stated in a tweet.

"We also thought that having Elon as a fiduciary of the company, where he, like other board members, has to act in the best interests of the company and all our shareholders, was the best road ahead," he wrote in the same article. The board of directors offered him a seat. On Tuesday, we announced that Elon will be named to the Board pending a background check and official acceptance."

"We have valued and will continue to appreciate shareholder opinion, whether they are on our Board or not." "Elon is our largest shareholder, and we will continue to welcome his participation," he added.

The Twitter CEO also expresses his belief that the choice is for the best. "Although there may be diversions ahead, our aims and priorities will remain constant." The decisions we make and how we carry them out are entirely in our hands, and no one else's. "Let's block out the noise and focus on the job and what we're building," he said near the conclusion.

The news is undoubtedly intriguing, considering Musk's recent posts and doubts about the future of Twitter and its regulations. For example, he stated that anyone joining up for Twitter Blue (a premium membership service that the firm is piloting in certain regions) should receive an authentication checkmark and that there should be no adverts.

He also thinks that Twitter is an important public forum and has polled his followers on whether Twitter strictly adheres to free speech ideals. He also mentioned that several of the platform's 'top accounts' no longer appear to tweet. Musk recently asked his followers if the Twitter headquarters should be transformed into a homeless shelter because no one uses it anymore.

Musk also stated that the checkmark for Twitter Blue users "should be different from the "public figure" or "official account" checkmark."
