XRP ETF Filing by WisdomTree Sparks Interest in Delaware Market

WisdomTree Joins Growing List of XRP ETF Applicants

WisdomTree, a New York-based asset management firm, has taken an important step towards launching an XRP ETF.

The company has filed a registration statement in Delaware, signaling that an official application to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) could be coming very soon. This marks another significant move as the list of firms seeking to offer XRP exchange-traded funds continues to grow.

WisdomTree Steps Into the XRP ETF Market!

WisdomTree, a major player in the global ETF market with $100 billion in assets under management, has officially filed for an XRP ETF. The filing, confirmed by Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett, went live on November 25 under the name "WisdomTree XRP Fund." This move places WisdomTree at the forefront of the emerging XRP ETF market in the United States, solidifying its role as a key pioneer in this space.

Rising Interest in XRP ETFs: A Response to Changing US Regulations

The race for XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) is heating up, with 21Shares recently filing one of the latest applications with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Following this, WisdomTree is expected to file an S-1 registration, as noted by Terrett.

The push for XRP ETFs has gained momentum in the wake of expectations for a change in the US presidency after the upcoming elections. This shift is fueling hopes for better regulatory conditions, driving asset managers to expand their offerings in the crypto ETF space.

Crypto ETFs and the US SEC: A Shifting Landscape

The fate of crypto ETFs in the US remains a hot topic as a wave of new applications flows into the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Industry insiders are watching closely, especially with recent reports from Coingape, which revealed the SEC's ongoing discussions with Solana ETF applicants. These talks suggest that a collaborative process is underway, with exchanges expected to soon file S1-statements and 19b-4 submissions.

Some industry experts believe that a potential victory by Donald Trump in the upcoming US Presidential election could ease the SEC’s stance on crypto ETFs. Although no official statements have been made, there is growing optimism that under a new SEC leadership, possibly following the resignation of Gary Gensler, the regulatory environment could become more favorable toward the approval of crypto ETFs.

WisdomTree's filing for an XRP ETF signals a growing interest in the cryptocurrency market, with more firms seeking SEC approval. As regulations evolve, the potential for broader crypto ETF offerings, including XRP, is becoming increasingly promising.
