The Wukong project on Fractal Bitcoin has revealed plans to distribute rewards to users holding over 80,000 Wukongx tokens through an airdrop. Some users have already begun receiving their rewards. This airdrop is designed to benefit the community, specifically targeting a broad range of users within the Bitcoin ecosystem. By doing so, Wukong aims to attract a significant number of Bitcoin users into the Fractal Bitcoin network, enhancing its overall engagement.
The airdrop will reward holders of tokens from eleven different projects associated with Fractal Bitcoin. This includes holders of Fractal Bitcoin (FB) tokens, Wukong non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and other projects like Pizza, Sats, Ordi, and even DOG•GO•TO•THE•MOON. Wukong is committed to rewarding a diverse group of token holders to build a more interconnected and active community within the Fractal Bitcoin ecosystem.
The token being distributed is called Wukongx, with the "X" representing exploration and transformation, which reflects the character of Wukong and his legendary 72 transformations. As part of this initiative, Wukong is also preparing to launch its NFT gameplay within the next 24 hours, adding another exciting layer to the project. The token distribution is seen as the first step in establishing Wukongx as a prominent token in the Fractal Bitcoin network.
Fractal Bitcoin, the platform supporting Wukong, is a Bitcoin scaling solution backed by wallet provider Unisat. Unlike other Bitcoin sidechains or Layer 2 solutions, Fractal Bitcoin uses the core Bitcoin code, emphasizing native Bitcoin features rather than relying on Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility. With the OP_CAT opcode, Fractal Bitcoin can expand Bitcoin’s capabilities and natively support various Bitcoin protocols, including BRC-20, Runes, and Ordinals. This approach sets Fractal Bitcoin apart and provides users with an enhanced experience within the Bitcoin ecosystem.
