Trump Crypto Coin to Drive DeFi Revolution With WLFI

World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency project supported by Donald Trump, has announced that over 100,000 people have signed up ahead of its public token launch on October 15, 2024. The project’s WLFI token, an Ethereum-based ERC-20 token, will act as the governance asset for the platform, enabling users to participate in decentralized finance (DeFi) activities such as borrowing, lending, interacting with liquidity pools, and transacting with stablecoins.

Trump Crypto Coin and Platform Details

In a recent 90-minute X space held on October 14, the platform’s head of operations, Zak Folkman, confirmed the details of the WLFI token and reiterated its functionality within the World Liberty Financial ecosystem. The project plans to raise $300 million through the token sale, aiming for a valuation of $1.5 billion. According to a leaked white paper, 63% of the WLFI tokens will be sold to whitelisted members, 17% allocated to user rewards, and 20% reserved for the team.

The WLFI token will be non transferable for 12 months, though holders will be able to use it immediately to participate in governance votes on the platform. Only accredited investors in the U.S., those who meet specific financial criteria, will be able to participate in the initial sale due to SEC regulations.

Trump Crypto Coin Future Plans

Donald Trump Jr., acting as the project’s "Web3 Ambassador," appeared during the X space and praised the platform for its potential to create a fairer financial system for everyday citizens. He also criticized the U.S. banking system, labeling it a “big Ponzi scheme.”

The World Liberty Financial platform is set to launch as a DeFi lending platform on Ethereum, with plans to expand to the layer-2 network Scroll. The project has also attracted high-profile names, including Paxos co-founder Rich Teo, who will oversee stablecoin and payments, and Aave CEO Stani Kulechov, who expressed excitement about the platform’s use of Aave for its lending and borrowing functionality.

With the WLFI token sale approaching, World Liberty Financial is expected to gain significant attention as the U.S. presidential election nears, where Donald Trump is a leading candidate.
