The Sandbox, a popular decentralized metaverse platform, has announced a new partnership with Ledger Enterprise, a security solution provider. The aim of the partnership is to develop security integration for The Sandbox's partners, allowing them to migrate their non-fungible token collections to the Ledger wallet for enhanced security.
As part of the collaboration, The Sandbox will be featured as a DApp on Ledger Enterprise, and a widget will be added to the Ledger Live desktop application. All NFTs in The Sandbox's collection wallet will be transferred to the Ledger Enterprise wallet, providing users with a higher level of security for their digital assets. The partnership also includes The Sandbox recommending Ledger Enterprise to its LAND owner ecosystem, while Ledger will promote The Sandbox metaverse to its clients.
The two companies had previously worked together on a crypto education game called School of Block, which was set in The Sandbox's Metaverse. The Sandbox's VP of communications, Ariel Wengroff, described the collaboration as a positive experience and noted that the company was thrilled with it.
The Sandbox has partnered with several big names in the past, including Snoop Dogg, Gucci, HSBC, and Atari, as it looks to broaden its partnerships network. In February, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Saudi Arabia to explore, advise, and support one another in metaverse development.
Meanwhile, Ledger recently raised $109 million in a funding round extension, bringing its valuation to $1.4 billion. The funding will be used to expand the company's distribution network, increase production, and develop new products. With the new partnership, The Sandbox and Ledger Enterprise are working together to promote security and innovation in the world of NFTs and metaverse development.
