Startale Labs, a prominent player in the Web3 space has partnered with Polkadot-based Aster Network and joins entertainment giant Sony for a collaborative blockchain. The goal of this collaboration with Sony Network is to bring a revolution to the entertainment world, support creators using Web3 and NFTs, and introduce digital services with a twin theme. CEO Sota Watanabe of Startale Labs has revealed a teaser for the finalised launch timeline of the blockchain collaboration with Sony. Additionally, Watanabe has expressed hope for the unveiling of Sony Network Communications Labs in the coming months.
On September 12, 2023, Startale Labs joined forces with Sony Network Communications, a collaborative company of Sony Corporation, to establish an innovative blockchain system through a $108 million investment. Prior to this, in June 2023, Sony had already disclosed an investment of $3.5 million in Startale Labs. It's worth mentioning that, based on the collaboration with Astar Network and Sony Network Communications, a selection has been made for only 19 projects out of more than 200 applications. These ventures focus on three targets, such as bringing a revolution to the entertainment world, supporting creators with Web3 and NFTs, and initiating digital services with a twin theme. While the launch timeline has been set, the specific date has not been disclosed.
However, now, as these companies move forward with this collaboration, they have set a goal in which they will develop a new blockchain platform by supporting each other. This aims to make the entertainment world more attractive and impressive. Additionally, with this collaboration, creating a presence in the Web3 sector will be facilitated. Sony mentions that Blockchain Technology is continuously evolving, and they want to progress alongside it, enabling its utilisation in the entertainment industry. Sony further states that their objective is to connect as many users as possible to their platform, and with the assistance of blockchain technology, they may succeed in achieving their targets.
