Scroll Crypto has officially announced its first-ever airdrop, marking a significant milestone for the project. The project took on its X platform to share the first-ever airdrop details along with onchain bonus and contributor rewards.
This Scroll airdrop aims to reward key contributors within the Scroll ecosystem, recognizing the collective efforts that have propelled its growth and success. With a presence in over 30 countries, 100 cities, and collaboration with 90 global organizations, Scroll is making waves in the crypto world.
Key Details of Scroll's First Airdrop
The Scroll token airdrop fairly allocates $SCR tokens to contributors based on their participation and support for the ecosystem. The airdrop focuses on four major categories of contributors:
Community Drop: Participants who contributed through on-chain activities.
Ecosystem Projects: Projects that built on Scroll, focusing on growth and innovation.
Industry Contributors: Developers, ZK researchers, open-source contributors, and public goods supporters.
Global Community: Organizers, hackathon winners, and translators who supported Scroll's mission.
Onchain Bonus and Contributor Rewards
In addition to the base allocations, Scroll has set aside 5,000,000 $SCR tokens (0.5% of the total supply) as an Onchain Bonus. This bonus will be distributed to eligible participants who met specific criteria by August 1, 2024, such as:
Holding a top-level ENS name (e.g., scroll.eth) on Ethereum mainnet.
Donating to Gitcoin or Juicebox campaigns.
Using a smart contract wallet on Scroll.
The Scroll airdrop snapshot date was taken on October 19, 2024, and the airdrop claim will open on October 22, 2024, at 07:00 UTC. Eligible recipients have 90 days to claim their tokens via the Airdrop Claim page, which will remain password-protected until the official claim period begins.
Global Community Support
Scroll has acknowledged over 600 contributors from various global communities with specific token allocations to reward their efforts. The Global Community Organizers, consisting of 91 organizers, will share 1,855,000 $SCR tokens. Hackathon Winners, totaling 477 individuals, will receive 1,180,000 $SCR tokens.
DevCon Communities, comprising 50 communities, are allocated a total of 100,000 $SCR tokens. Additionally, 50 Top Ethereum Translators will share 100,000 $SCR tokens. This airdrop underscores Scroll's dedication to rewarding its contributors and supporting its ecosystem as it gears up for future developments, including the highly anticipated Scroll crypto listing.
