Michael Saylor Urges Apple: Invest $100B in Bitcoin for Big Gains

Michael Saylor, CEO of MicroStrategy, has suggested that Apple should invest $100 billion in Bitcoin. He believes this move could significantly boost Apple’s market value and investor interest, generating enormous returns in the process.

What’s the News?

During a recent interview on the "Markets with Madison" podcast, hosted by journalist Madison Reidy, Michael Saylor suggested that Apple should invest $100 billion in Bitcoin rather than pursuing a stock buyback.

According to Saylor, such an investment would likely see Bitcoin's value grow to $500 billion, generating $100 billion in investment gains annually for Apple. He believes this move could attract significant investor interest, potentially increasing Apple’s market capitalization by one to two trillion dollars.

Saylor emphasized that Apple would experience substantial benefits from both the Bitcoin investment and its regular operations. He estimated that after the investment, 40% of Apple’s valuation could be linked to its balance sheet (boosted by Bitcoin), with 60% coming from its operating business.

He also mentioned that smaller S&P 500 companies could improve their performance by investing in Bitcoin, bringing their financial results closer to those of Big Tech giants.

MicroStrategy itself has been leading the way in corporate Bitcoin investment. The company currently holds $17.1 billion worth of Bitcoin, making it the largest corporate holder of the cryptocurrency. This strategic approach has contributed to MicroStrategy's stock soaring by 182% this year alone.

Conclusion

Michael Saylor Bitcoin recommendation highlights his firm belief in Bitcoin’s long-term potential. He sees such an investment as a game-changer not only for Apple but also for smaller S&P 500 companies, which could gain momentum by following suit and embracing Bitcoin as part of their financial strategies.
