Is Hamster Kombat a Scam or Legit?

Despite hitting more than 250 Million users before launch, Hamster Kombat needed to gain support from the Russian authorities. Hamster Kombat, a tap-to-earn game where players act as hamster CEO of a cryptocurrency exchange, has faced significant criticism from Russian authorities. 

Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, has called for the game's operations to be halted in Russia, labeling it as manipulative and fraudulent. He condemned the tasks players must complete to earn virtual coins for an upcoming airdrop, describing them as inducing a near-psychotic state. 

“People are easily deceived and manipulated, sometimes leading to internet addiction”, he added. 

Despite the controversy, Hamster Kombat (HMSTR) has been a major hit in Russia. Local retailers reported that sales of muscle massage guns, used to tap mobile screens repeatedly, nearly tripled from May to June.

While some countries like Iran view Hamster Kombat as a "soft war" tool, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has praised the game for its impact. Durov believes that Hamster Kombat could introduce millions of people to blockchain technology once the token is airdropped on the TON network.

Many scammers are using the game as a weapon to trick players and steal their details, such as their crypto wallets. Despite these, the platform is growing rapidly, attracting more and more players daily.  

Hamster Kombat's Growing Popularity
