Digital Asset Summit: President Trump to Outline Bitcoin Reserve Plan

President Trump to Address Digital Asset Summit

Donald Trump will speak at the Blockworks Digital Asset Summit (DAS) in New York City. This is the first time a U.S. president will talk at a cryptocurrency event. His speech shows that cryptocurrency is becoming more important in U.S. finance.

President signed an order to create the US Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. This makes Bitcoin an important part of the country’s financial plan, like gold. His team is working to add Bitcoin to US reserves.

President supports cryptocurrency. He spoke at a BTC event in Nashville during his campaign. Now, he is meeting with industry leaders to help shape the future of cryptocurrency in the US

Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Plan

President signed an order to create the US Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. This means the U.S. will treat BTC like gold. It is a new way of handling crypto.

Bo Hines, who oversees cryptocurrency for the administration, said the plan is budget-neutral. This means the Bitcoin reserve won’t take funds from other financial priorities. Lawmakers, including Senator Cynthia Lummis and Congressman Nick Begich, have proposed buying 1 million BTC over five years. The plan is under review, and more discussions will happen soon.

The administration is also working on stablecoin rules. Senator Bill Hagerty is leading the GENIUS Act to create clear regulations. The bill may pass soon, helping strengthen the U.S. crypto market.

Industry Leaders at DAS

The crypto summit will feature top industry figures alongside the President. BTC advocate Michael Saylor will give the keynote speech. Other speakers include Nasdaq’s Giang Bui and BlackRock’s Head of Digital assets, Robbie Mitchnick.

Trump’s participation signals a big policy change. Under Biden, regulators took over 100 enforcement actions against the industry. In contrast, he is pushing to integrate cryptocurrency into the financial system.

XRP and the Blockchain Assets Stockpile

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said XRP might be included in the U.S. Digital Asset Stockpile. He pointed to Trump’s mention of XRP on Truth Social. This suggests the government is considering multiple cryptocurrencies for its reserves.

What To Expect From Trump’s Speech at Digital Asset Summit?

The president will speak at the Digital Summit. He will talk about BTC, rules for crypto, and how blockchain assets help the U.S. economy. Blockworks has not shared details yet. Experts think he will explain how BTC fits into the country's financial plan. His administration has already taken steps, like creating a national Bitcoin reserve and pushing for stablecoin regulations. These moves suggest a more supportive stance toward crypto.

Many in the industry hope the President will provide clarity on future policies about crypto at the Digital Asset Summit. He may share plans to boost BTC use and bring more blockchain innovation. His speech could shape the future of U.S. crypto rules.
