In a reflective statement on social media platform X, Zhao shared his experiences and future plans after his release on September 27 from a correctional facility in California. Despite facing legal challenges in the United States, including a $50 million fine and a four-month sentence, Zhao remains optimistic.
He articulated a series of initiatives he plans to focus on in the coming years, centering around technological innovation and social impact. Zhao expressed his long-term commitment to investing in blockchain, decentralized technologies, AI, and biotech.
He stated, “I am a long-term investor who cares about impact, not returns.”
Additionally, Zhao highlighted the success of his newly launched project, Giggle Academy, an online educational platform providing accessible learning opportunities. He expressed enthusiasm about dedicating more time and resources to this non-profit initiative, signaling a significant part of his life moving forward.
Continuing Investment Despite Setbacks
Despite legal setbacks, including a hefty fine and compliance monitoring, Binance founder Changpeng "CZ" Zhao remains committed to innovative technologies, focusing on impact over financial returns. With Richard Teng now leading Binance, Zhao is confident in the company's continued success.
At the Token2049 conference, Teng reported a 40% growth in institutional investors, indicating early stages of broader market involvement. Zhao plans to increase philanthropic efforts, particularly in education, and is writing a book. Speculation arises about Zhao's future investments potentially driving Binance Coin (BNB) prices towards $700, reflecting his ongoing influence in tech and crypto sectors.
