AdEx Network is now called Ambire. It is a company that is making what it calls a "next-generation solution for digital advertising" and a "crypto wallet for DeFi." Ambire started out as a decentralised ad exchange in 2017 and has since grown into a full protocol for trading advertising space and time. Ambire wallet was added to the company's portfolio later on. Validators are chosen for each advertising campaign on the platform. They are in charge of processing the micropayments between publishers and advertisers through layer 2 payment channels. The more tokens that are staked, the more reliable the validator network will be. Ambire was made by Ivo Georgiev and Dimo Stoyanov, who are both experienced entrepreneurs who have done well in the past.
