Centrifuge is a decentralised asset financing protocol. It links decentralised finance (DeFi) with real-world assets (RWA) and tries to lower the cost of capital for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and give investors a stable source of income. The main goal of the project is to make money that isn't tied to the price of crypto assets. To do this, the developers are trying to move real money from fiat to crypto. Companies use Centrifuge to get access to the liquidity that DeFi has to offer. They can tokenize real assets and use these tokens as collateral to get loans through Tinlake, a decentralised application (DApp) lending protocol. The Centrifuge blockchain is built on Polkadot (DOT), which is fast and has low transaction fees. Its financial DApp, Tinlake, is built to access liquidity on Ethereum (ETH). Centrifuge gives everyone access to liquidity, and investors get paid and rewarded in CFG tokens. Centrifuge connects assets like invoices, real estate, and royalties to decentralised finance (DeFi). Borrowers also benefit from the fact that they don't have to go through banks or other middlemen to get money for their real estate.
