Boson Protocol (BOSON) is a decentralised system for doing business over the Internet. Using tokenized futures contracts, the ecosystem makes it possible to trade digital value for goods and services in the real world. Stateful non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are used on the platform to show commitments to buy and sell physical assets.
Together with its native utility token BOSON, the protocol aims to break up monopolies in business and let buyers and sellers do business with each other with little help from middlemen.
BOSON tokens help to run the ecosystem and give people an incentive to do things that can increase the number of good NFT redemptions. A user can get the currency by taking part in development bounties, joining meetups, entering competitions, and being an active member of the community. According to BOSON's official white paper, its value comes from transaction fees and the sale of commerce data through its Web 3.0 data marketplace.
In March 2019, the protocol was set up. The project's website has a roadmap that shows how it plans to support e-commerce transactions for i-gaming, NFT art, CeFi, and DeFi loyalty reward programmes by the end of 2021. In April 2021, Gnosis Auction held the first sale of BOSON tokens.
