What is Basic Attention Token (BAT)

The Basic Attention Token is an ERC-20 complacent Etheruem-based token. Brenden Eich, the co-founder of Mozilla and creator of JavaScript, developed the BAT in 2017. The coin has practical uses for publishers, marketers, and Brave browser users. Brave is an open-source, decentralized initiative that uses its private browser to provide more equitable and targeted digital advertising. Advertisers pay for the publication of their advertisements and are rewarded with BATs based on interaction. Brave browser users may earn BATs by watching tailored advertisements and then use the tokens to reward others.
