The Blockchain Council of the Philippines (BCP) has partnered with the DICT to promote Web3 adoption in the country. The BCP aims to drive blockchain adoption, educate stakeholders, and collaborate with government bodies, Web3 developers, and businesses. This partnership reflects the nation's readiness for blockchain adoption and its potential to be a global leader in the industry. However, Ethen Rose, founder of Pouch, a Bitcoin Lighting Network wallet service, highlighted the challenges in introducing Bitcoin to Filipinos. Pouch is currently pitching Bitcoin to merchants as a means to attract customers.
