NFT royalties have reached their lowest point in two years, according to blockchain analytics firm Nansen. In April 2022, NFT creators earned a record $75.7 million in royalties in a single week. However, the recent drop in the floor price of Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs and the controversy surrounding the launch of the Azuki Elementals collection have contributed to the decline. Top earners include Yuga Labs with $165.5 million, RTFKT with $79.9 million, and Azuki with $58.2 million in royalties. Nansen emphasizes the significance of royalties as an indicator of ongoing development funding for NFT projects. The distribution of royalties has shifted from OpenSea to rival marketplace Blur, which implemented a minimum 0.5% royalty policy. The top 10 NFT collections have earned over $345 million in royalties, with Yuga Labs accounting for 44% of that total.NFT Royalties Hit Two-Year Low, Affecting Project Development Funding
