In a significant move, Buterin clarified his intentions on social media, stating, "All proceeds will be donated, either to support public goods within the Ethereum ecosystem or broader charity, such as biomedical research and development."

Moreover, he recently transferred $858,000 worth of Starknet tokens and unlocked $470,000 in STRK tokens, emphasizing donations over investments to support undervalued projects.

Buterin's Clear Stance on Token Sales

Buterin addressed various theories about his financial activities, asserting that since 2018, any sales of tokens have been executed to fund projects he deems valuable. His clear stance is to avoid any future investments in L2 tokens, focusing instead on leveraging his resources for positive externalities and setting a philanthropic example.

Significant Transfers and Market Reactions

Before his recent announcement, Buterin moved $10 million worth of Ether to an exchange. Data from Arkham Intelligence indicates that 422,000 Ether (ETH), valued at approximately $1.04 billion, has been transferred from Buterin's linked wallet since 2015, with 840,000 ETH moved in the past two years alone.

At the press time, ETH was trading at $2,380.43, after an intraday drop of 0.75% with $286,356,871,282 in market cap and $13,200,825,214 in 24-hour volume.

Buterin's decisions and actions continue to impact the Ethereum ecosystem and the broader cryptocurrency market, highlighting his commitment to using his resources for the greater good.

Furthermore, no major impact was recorded on the Layer 2 blockchain tokens including Polygon Matic, Mantle, Optimism (OP), and Arbtrium (ARB).

At the time of writing, MATIC price was hovering at $0.3719, after a 0.60% drop. Mantle coin was trading at $0.563 with an intra-day decline of 0.31%. Optimism and Arbitrium, alternatively, showcased an impressive growth. Currently, the OP token price is $1.36 and ARB token price is hovering at $0.4999.

Conclusion

Vitalik Buterin's decision to donate all Layer-2 and project tokens underscores his commitment to philanthropy and supporting undervalued projects. Vitalik’s recent token transfers and clear stance on avoiding future investments aim to leverage his resources for the greater good, impacting the Ethereum ecosystem and broader crypto market positively.
